German painter (1821-1895), who, at the peak of his fame, was charged for abuse of an underage model, causing a major scandal in Berlin.

Autograph letter signed by him, in German (sold untranslated), dated in 1885 (the year of the scandal).  Size is 3.8 x 6 inches, 3 pages in one sheet, in very good condition.
