Autograph note written in German (sold with transcription and translation) with the embossed letterhead of the Vienna State Opera director signed by Mahler, matted with a half-tone photograph of him (probably from a magazine or book). Mahler mentions one of his work, probably his 3rd Symphony, which was premiered in 1896.
Total size is 10.75 x 6.6 inches, note is 4.8 x 3.75 inches (visible window size), photo is 2.5 x 3.75 inches (visible window size), all in excellent condition.
