Finnish composer (1865-1957) of the late Romantic and early-modern periods, widely recognized as his country's greatest composer, helping his country to develop a national identity through his music.

Fantastic autograph music quote on a piece of paper with 4 bars from the opening of his 3rd Symphony, signed and dated by him in 1921(?).  Size is 4.5 x 3.4 inches, folds, some smudge over the beginning of the music quote, otherwise in very good condition.

ALSO INCLUDED is a photo postcard portrait of the composer by the famous photographer Yousuf Karsh. Size is 4.25 x 6 inches, in excellent condition.
