Italian cardinal (1897-1978) and head of the Catholic church known as Paul VI between 1963 and 1978, succeeding John XXIII. Set of two typed letters, dated in 1941 and 1942, written in Italian (sold untranslated). Each one is 2 pages long and bear the letterhead as Secretary of State of his Holiness. Size is 8 x 10.75 inches, folds and minor stains, otherwise in very good condition.
