American trombone virtuoso, bandleader, and composer of band music (1869-1942), composed over 300 works, including marches, novelties, tone poems and three light operas. Autograph musical quote signed, several bars of unidentified music with his bold and clear signature beneath, dated in 1929. This is contained on a 3.5 x 5.5 inch card, in excellent condition.
