Italian opera composer (1857-1919) whose opera Pagliacci (1892) is considered one of the most successful in opera history. 

Larger size cabinet-style photograph, signed by him and inscribed to Henri de Farconnet, director of the Municipal Casino Theater in Nice, France, on occasion of the premiere of Leoncavallo´s opera "Zazá", dated in Nice on May 24th, 1904.
