Prominent Danish baritone (1902-?), best known for his association with the world premieres of two major 20th-century operas in Zurich. He is primarily remembered for creating the role of Dr. Schön in Alban Berg's Lulu in 1937 and the title role of Paul Hindemith's Matis der Maler in 1938.  Signed postcard photograph, shown in role, signed on front with additional signature and inscription on verso, dated in 1947.
