Russian ballet dancer and choreographer (b.1940), principal dancer with the Bolshoi Ballet and its director from 1995 to 2000; best known for his role of Spartacus and his powerful leaps and turns.

Original slipper used in performance by him, signed by him in May 14, 1990. Size is 9 x 4 inches, in very good condition.
